NOTICE: THE MOSSBAY FORUM MEETING ON 11 MARCH HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO 23 MARCH AND WILL BE HELD IN MOORCLOSE COMMUNITY CENTRE AT 7PM

Welcome to the West Cumbria Managing Radioactive Waste Safely Partnership.

We are an advisory body aiming to "make recommendations to Allerdale Borough Council, Copeland Borough Council and Cumbria County Council on whether they should participate or not in the geological disposal facility siting process, without commitment to eventually host a facility".

Managing Radioactive Waste Safely is the name of the Government process to find and put in place a long-term solution for the UK's higher level nuclear wastes.

See the Overview page for more information.
